In the book Secret Believers, we get a glimpse of what life is like for Muslim Background Believers (MBB's) in their home towns. While Suq al Khamis is not a real place, it represents many villages and towns in those countries where our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ live.

The countries listed are part of the World Watch List (WWL) which is compiled by Open Doors International from a specially-designed questionnaire of 50 questions covering various aspects of religious freedom. Within the country profiles you will learn some key facts including the country leader, the state religion, and the ranking it received on the WWL for 2008. You will also read about the status of the Church within that specific country and some of the current challenges they are facing. The most important part of these profiles are the prayer requests listed. It is our desire to tell you about these countries so you can join the believers living there in prayer for the Church in their country, that it may remain strong in the face of persecution and reach out to the lost around them.
